About Us

 The Company

Good Mourning is a small business that operates in the Metro Vancouver area. Good Mourning was previously known as Chains By Sadé when it was first started in July of 2019. Sadé Leschuk (pronounced shaw-day) started this jewelry business with the hope of making jewelry that she liked but couldn’t be found in stores. She began creating jewelry and posting them on her snapchat story for friends to buy and when the first 12 necklaces sold within a day she knew she wanted to turn it into a business. After those first designs were sold, all other sales were made through Instagram and supplies used were from the local craft store. Around 70% of the customers were from people that personally knew the owner, we got a lot of support from family and friends. Now with newer products and designs, we are looking forward to expanding sales beyond Instagram and reach customers internationally.

Thank you for joining us along our journey🦇🖤

The Owner

Sadé Leschuk grew up in metro Vancouver with her two siblings and puppy. She began experimenting with alternative style in middle school when tumblr was popping and took inspiration from outfits found on there. As she reached high school she still had an appreciation for alternative style but didn’t fully express herself due to fear of judgement. When she was in grade 10 and wanted a thick chain as an accessory she went to rona and got a chain cut and turned that into a necklace. This is around the time the layered necklace look was becoming popular, and what better way to get the perfect necklace lengths than by making them yourself? Sadé has discovered that goth style (specifically romantic and trad goth) that make her feel the most confident. Despite the occasional comment about how silly her style is, she stays true to herself. When she’s not shopping at Hot Topic or perfecting the best eyeliner wing she can be found hanging out with her beloved boyfriend (her #1 supporter), cuddling with her dog Hunter, or scrolling on TikTok. Sadé is eternally grateful for the support she has received with her creations and can’t wait to share more!
